May 27th, 2008 and my GSoC student just checked in, he's working on his environment and researching the different mapping APIs along with some PHP examples and JavaScript.
Everything is "right on schedule".
I'm mentoring for GSoC this year, it's a first for me. My student is Dhairya D Dand. He's tasked with doing a generalized mapping plugin for GL2. That's something near and dear to me so I'm excited to see the project succeed.
